Auditing of Air Quality

An air quality audit involves inspection of a premises to determine compliance with in-house or external (eg, Environmental Licence) requirements. Audits may involve monitoring as well as visual inspection of activities and operations to allow the quantification of emissions to air, and comparison to documented requirements.

Examples of previous air quality audit projects completed by Air Noise Environment Pty Ltd include:

  • Air quality emissions audit to assess existing sources of air emissions for the Newmont Gold Tanami operations.
  • Audit of particulate emissions for Mt Coot-Tha Quarry, operated by Brisbane City Council, including extensive monitoring over a 12 month period to assess both the quantity and direction of the particulates occurring in the local community.
  • Air emissions audit for Smorgon Steel operations at Hemmant, including on-going monitoring of particulate emissions at the site and in the immediate surroundings.
  • Commonwealth Airports - Tenancy Audits for over 200 premises at Brisbane, Gold Coast, Archerfield and Townsville Airports to assess compliance with the requirements of the Commonwealth Airports (Environment Protection) Act.
  • Urban Land Development Authority (ULDA) - inspection of a series of remnant industries located within land proposed for an extensive mixed use development at Hamilton Northshore.
